Back to School
It's September and that means back to school for everyone!
Milk Bottle Quilt Company was a vendor at the Highland Stitcher's Quilt Show in Molson last weekend. We met some wonderful people and got to celebrate Nancy's birthday in a beautiful part of the state we'd never been to before. Congratulations to Kim Helleson of Tonasket, who won our door prize drawing of four 5-inch charm packs.
One comment we heard time and again was how colorful our booth was. Our newest quilt kit, Le Fleur, made from the Fantine fabric line by Lila Tueller Designs for Riley Blake, was a bright addition to our display. The turquoise, pink, berry, and green prints are bursts of color that perfectly balance the gray prints in the quilt.
Along with our vintage apron embroidery kits, we've added a variety of fat quarter bundles to our inventory. One lady at the quilt show was thrilled that I had accidentally ordered the chevron bundle in flannels instead of cottons!! Our fat quarter bundle of Cotton Shades was also a hit. The fifteen fat quarters make the perfect blenders for any quilt project.
Speaking of back to school, how cute are these Crayola boxes of fat quarters?! I absolutely fell in love with these and had to get them for the shop. There is also a free pattern download on the back of the box.
I love this time of year. The cool September nights are giving my flowers one last burst of color, the garden is overflowing with vegetables and after a quiet summer in the building, it's fun to hear the excitement in the kids' voices as they come back to school and greet their friends.
